On the 5th of August, an email from my filmmaking mentor, Diane Bell landed in my inbox 📥 at about 12:58pm. And since then, I have not stopped meditating 🧘🏿♂️ on it.
Then I remembered you.
How you have a BIG GOAL IN LIFE. Just as I have this gigantic goal of producing an award winning hiphop drama starring a Hausa girl rapper.
Her thought opened my understanding as to why certain things are not in place yet.
I am confident it will have similar positive effect on you too.

When we set a goal, our brains normally flick into the "how do I do this?" mode.
For instance, if we've decided to get healthier, our brains go, "but how??"
And typically we'll hatch a plan ("I'll drink a smoothie for breakfast, go to yoga 3x per week, cut out the ice-cream!").
No matter what the goal is, this is what we'll tend to do to, ask ourselves, "BUT HOW?"
Want to scale your business to 6 figures (and beyond)?
But how?
Want to create increased abundance?
But how???
Want to take your screenwriting/filmmaking career to a whole new level?
But how??
We focus on the steps we must take, the actions we need to get there.
Which on the surface seems like the smart thing to do.
And don't get me wrong - it IS essential.
To make any big goal come true is going to take strategic action. You can't just sit on the couch and pray and the thing happens.
BUT...
if it was as simple as following the steps, everyone would achieve all their goals all the time,
And we know that isn't the case.
The problem most people have if they want to get healthy isn't that they don't know HOW -
It's not rocket science to eat healthier and exercise more.
The problem is the deeply ingrained conditioning that forms their identity and the habits they have as a result of that.
Read that sentence again if you need to.
The problem we have is rarely the HOW.
The problem is our subconscious identity is not set to create the results we desire.
And as long as our subconscious minds are set for different results, we are not going to win.
Sure, we want to get healthy...
But as long as our habits don't align with our goals -
As long as our subconscious identity doesn't align with them -
We will not achieve our goal.
When we understand that the key to achieving our dreams lies in who are we BEING rather than what we are DOING, it changes EVERYTHING.
If we only focus on the DOING, it's like trying to paddle your boat upstream -
Lots of HARD work, with very few results.
When we get our BEING in alignment with our goals, we start to paddle downstream -
it becomes effortless -
Things just click into place, synchronicities everywhere.
This is the way to fast track to your dreams.
